Sara Church

I'm Sara Church, and I wanted to share a little bit about my journey with you all. My love for chickens began with the Ameraucana breed, which captivated me with their beautiful blue eggs. This passion deepened when Jean reached out to me for a bird-hunting adventure for a recognition show. That experience solidified my love for shows, the Ameraucana breed, and the camaraderie of the ABC community.

Currently, I focus on breeding chocolate Ameraucana, although though I enjoy a variety of colors in my layer pens. My journey in breeding and showing chickens began in 2019 and it has been an incredibly fulfilling experience. The year 2024 has been particularly challenging for me. My property was severely impacted by an EF4 tornado, followed by flooding, and to top it off, I ended the year with a shattered ankle. Despite these hardships, I am hopeful and excited to meet more of you in 2025 and to continue sharing our mutual passion for these wonderful birds. I look forward to connecting with more of you during the upcoming term
